Your boat, delivered to the next horizon.

Halyard & Tide is a one-skipper yacht delivery service based in Lagos, on the Algarve coast. Coastal hops, Atlantic crossings, and owner-aboard passages — planned carefully and sailed conservatively.
A short introduction
Every passage starts with a survey, a weather window and a plain conversation about what your boat can do. Then we go — no heroics, no surprises.

How a delivery runs
I come aboard before anything is booked. Rig, engine, steering, bilge, safety kit, spares. You get a short written list of what must be fixed, what should be fixed, and what can wait.
Routing is built around your boat's comfort, not a calendar. I watch the forecast for a week, agree on a departure window with you, and prepare a passage plan with bail-out ports along the route.
One or two crew, three-hour watches, a daily position report to you by satellite message. Conservative sail plan at night. Engine hours, fuel and any issues logged as we go.
On arrival the boat is washed down, lines coiled, tanks topped up, and the log handed over with photographs. We walk the boat together before I leave the berth.

The skipper
"A good delivery is a boring one. The excitement should be yours, when you step aboard at the other end."
Tomás Ferreira (a fictional name) has sailed the Atlantic coast of Iberia since he was fourteen and has skippered deliveries professionally since 2018. He holds a commercially endorsed offshore licence, a sea-survival certificate and a first-aid-at-sea ticket, all kept current.
He sails with a small pool of trusted crew and keeps every passage to the same rule: the boat arrives in better shape than it left.
